Unique Materials

 

Cian® Solid Surface

BC Designs have gone so far as to develop their own unique materials that are perfect for crafting baths. The luxury Cian® range is a collection of baths and basins in varying designs ranging from modern and contemporary, to traditional and vintage. Cian® Solid Surface is an innovative blend of materials, comprised of acrylic-modified polyester resin combined with mineral compounds, which allows BC Designs to create acrylic baths in a range of unusual designs, with more detailing and thinner rims. The Cian® baths and basins are created using high-quality materials, and so are strong, sturdy, and more than hold up to stringent industry standards.

Cian® is perfect for everyday use amongst families with children and will withstand bumps and knocks. It’s scratch-resistant so any marks that may occur over the years can be buffed out with water paper and special polish, and it’s 100% nonporous, meaning that bacteria cannot harbour in the surface of the bath or basin. They’re easy to clean with a simple one over with a cloth or sponge.

 

Acrymite® System

BC Designs's Acrymite® System is a unique way of forming baths that involves using both an inner and outer top quality acrylic sheet, instead of just one traditional sheet. They are then formed seamlessly, leaving no visible lines, and, as there is no gel coat layered onto the bath, scratches and scuffs can be easily removed.

Acrylic Boat Bath

One of BC Designs’s most popular designs is the freestanding Acrylic Boat Bath, which uses their unique Acrymite® System. Sometimes called a bateau bath, it has an acrylic inner and outer. It comes in a white gloss finish as standard but can be painted in a colour of your choice to order, and is available in three different sizes.

Bampton Bath

Another popular style is their Bampton Bath, which is inspired by early 20th Century fire clay baths. Made from their unique Cian® material for improved heat retention and sturdiness, this bath has a large bathing area thanks to its thin rim and is also available in a range of colours.

The Delicata Bath

If traditional, vintage-inspired baths aren’t your thing, BC Designs have created a range of modern looking designs inspired by minimalism. The Delicata Bath made from Cian® Solid Surface is a stylish and unique addition to any contemporary bathroom. Mistley Bath

Senator Bath

For something in between the vintage styles and modern clean lines, the Senator Bath with or without feet offers a beautiful halfway point between classic, traditional fireclay baths, and simple, contemporary pieces replicating Scandinavian-style design trends.
