Tin Baths | Freestanding Tin Bathtubs online

Tin baths are extremely traditional, and they look fantastic when incorporated into a clever bathroom design that mixes elements of the classical with more contemporary design. If you’re trying to design a bathroom that is both striking but also a zen haven of relaxation, a tin bath manages to look stunning without being overbearing. Tin baths have their functional benefits too, in that they retain heat a lot better than some other materials.

If you’re the kind of person who loves an extremely hot bath and likes to float for what seems like hours, a tin bath will be excellent. We offer tin baths in different sizes, although unlike some baths it’s simply not possible to have an extensive range. Tin baths are freestanding and normally hand-made, so they’re designed to a certain size. Check our range to see what sizes are available.

Tin baths work well with traditional bath taps when you want to complete the look. Opt for something modern and you’ll likely get a clash with the finish. Bear that in mind when buying your tin bath, and decide whether your taps need replacing at the same time. Take a look through our range of tin baths and see if there’s one in particular that catches your eye.

If you want the same level of luxury but different material, take a look at our copper baths and our stone baths.

Once you find the tin bath that is right for you, you can buy it for delivery as soon as possible or get in touch if you’ve any questions. We’ll be more than happy to talk you through tin baths in more detail.

Tin Baths FAQs

Having a tin bathtub in your home is the perfect way to make a bold statement. Create a real centerpiece for your space. Apart from their look, our tin baths have some very unique selling points that you find in normal baths. They’re easy to maintain, very hygienic and extremely durable. Tin Baths are excellent heat conductors and will maintain the water temperature much longer than Cast Iron versions. Even after the bath has been emptied it will remain warm to the touch.

In short, no. They are easy to maintain due to their tin properties. All you need is a mild cleaning agent and a non-abrasive sponge to get the tin baths to shine back to how it was originally.

Tin bathtubs are fairly light and are installed with great ease. The lack of weight ensures that no undue stress is placed on the floor, making it unlikely that any damage will be caused during installation.

Tin bathtubs are very quick to absorb heat when filled with hot water. Simply fill up your bath with hot water and the tin bath will almost immediately heat up. You can jump in your bath straight away without the need to wait for your bath to warm up.

Tin baths are some of the easiest to maintain. There are still some things you’ll need to do to ensure a clean and happy bathtub.

  • Rinse the tin bath with water and pat dry after every use for the cleanest bath.

  • Don’t use abrasive cleaning products. Always use a smooth sponge that won’t damage or scratch and don’t use a cleaning agent that’s strong. You won’t need a high concentration to get your bathtub clean.

  • Clean often with a soft cloth.

  • Avoid contact with acidic liquids. if contact happens then please rinse the bathtub immediately.

  • Wax the tub every 6 months to prevent the copper bath from scratching and any build-up that may occur.

  • Tin baths are only cold if you put cold water in them. Tin baths are super conductors which means that they’ll stay warm for longer. This makes tin baths far superior to any cast or acrylic bath.

Our original Tin Baths are made in the traditional handcrafted manner used for centuries, and therefore there will be gentle undulations and some color variation in the finish so every bath is unique to you.
